WHAT ARE LIFE GROUPS?

At Glad Tidings, there are all kinds of Life Groups, but there is one thing they all have in common. Life Groups bring people together! They are small groups of people where you can get connected to others based on interests, stage of life, or just a shared desire to learn about a topic.

In a Life Group, you will have the opportunity to share life with others, and be challenged to grow spiritually. Meaningful relationships can be hard to find, and that's why Life Groups exist; to make life-changing relationships accessible to everyone. You were not made to live life alone, so find a group that works for you, and get connected!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When do Life Groups happen?

Most Life Groups meet in semesters which last 10-12 weeks, but some meet for a different duration or year-round. Life Groups can meet weekly, twice a month, or monthly. They happen at all different times and different days. When looking for a Life Group, find one that works with your schedule!

What does a Life Group meeting look like?

Short answer, It depends! We have "free market" groups at Glad Tidings, which means that there are all different kinds of groups based on peoples interests and passions. However, all groups will include casual fellowship, an activity or discussion, and a spiritual component(encouragement, scripture, prayer, etc). If a group is going through a study together, that will often be listed in the group's description, along with any other needed details to find the right group.

What About My Kids?

We know it's important to develop relationships with others even during the busy seasons of family life. Some Life Groups will have a plan for childcare or a place for children to play, others may allow children to participate, and some may let you figure out childcare on your own. When selecting a Life Group, there will be information available about whether a group is kid-friendly, but it's always a good idea, if you have kids, to contact the group leader to discuss your families individual needs and make sure it's a good fit for your family.
